I try some of Linkedin skill assessment tests. from three tests outlook, excel, and wordpress: I got badges from outlook and wordpress, after retake tests for excel, still not got badge. why I failed in excel? I think I did incorrect answers for 1-2 from all 15. from 1. numbers of persons whom got excel test may much more than wordpress and outlook for sure, 1 from 15 can make you fail from upper 30% bound for sure. ...

I forgot to update on the recovering data that in the first place make me stop streak wrote on the articles. I miserly recover only 10% of whole intended data: sadly, alternatively send that storage to lab and recovering may be last resource, and in the same time financial decision for whom may concern. So back up may be the best of whole alternative. back to the topic story, what I show relate on webmin config, if you want command line alternative route the way be here, windows access to SMB share, macOS access to SMB share, android access to SMB share. and that’s all for SMB server share. ...

I stop the articles for 2 weeks because I knew myself will reminiscent about many things; time that OSI model still needed, Netbuei, Netware, appletalk, X.25, ATM, Netbios. now we move to era of TCP/IP, especially TCP/IP version 4 and version 6. when talk about file sharing, windows users almost think about windows folder share, before this many kind of windows share happen before, in the end windows share took dominant. ...

you can make your cloud server, select your hardware and look into each components to put into your system, even can choose your OS(es) or cloud software. for now (november 2022), I recommended like this. look into your need. how much storage you need, how strong your storage password + encryption + time of backup/ usage bandwidth. for all number I suggested to multiply by 2 at least for your own good. look into your budget, time to spend on this, your special cases (app, database, programming language, condition) included all that in your consideration. if you don’t have time or special need to mess with complex solutions, NAS or even cloud services may be good choices. you don’t need to make it harder. if you want to learn something new, low budget, on experimental period, let follow my diy guide below. ...

in case you didn’t read about backup free on cloud you should consider read that first. this is the “not free” solution, so budgeting may need to consider here too. first option, use the cloud solution you have and pay extra money for the storage., and that’s it. second, that we will dig deep here, buy NAS and put it on cloud. third, that we will talk later; setting your owncloud, auto compressed and encrypted files on schedule. ...
