today i’m testing ubuntu 9.04 on other notebook asus a8j
from my experience i feel that if memory more than 512 MB, i feel that ubuntu quite fast; compare to windows XP.
load time, swapping files, or other activities, i feel that this notebook run quite faster than on its original windows XP.

RAM 1.5 GB
HDD 64 GB
and DVD reader
